New Delhi: They may be from diverse ethnic backgrounds but have a common vision -- a better India where there will be quality education without discrimination. This dream prompted Sanjukta Pangi from Orissa, Samuel Venkatesan from Tamil Nadu and Narendra Kumar from Uttar Pradesh to push for inclusion of quality education in the agenda of the UNICEF's Junior 8 (J8) summit, held parallel to the G-8 meet in Italy last week. "For us, education was the key concern. The J-8 focused on climate change and child rights in the context of financial crisis. But, we recommended that post-primary education to all children and safe public transport for students should be part of our declaration," Pangi, a tribal girl from Koraput district, said at a press interaction here.
